 BskyB have invested in three Digital Rapids StreamZ solutions from IST, a Digital Rapids reseller working in the heart of Soho, serving the post production and media industries. The high performance, multi format encoders have been purchased for the purpose of encoding sport content into Windows 9, to be streamed from the BskyB website www.skysports.com.
As BskyB publish sports bulletins three times a day, plus soccer AM and breaking stories, speed as well as quality were high on the list of priorities.

In order to meet BskyB's specific brief, Digital Rapids have designed a custom plug-in. The plug-in takes a captured AVI file and exports the desired section of the file to multiple compressed formats. As well as export still images from captured AVI files and top and tail of any clip.
