Adobe Flash Digital Rapids is proud to be an Encoding and Transcoding Partner member of the Adobe Flash Media Solution Provider program. Through the Adobe Flash Player browser plug-in and the Adobe Media Player application, Adobe Flash delivers rich media experiences across multiple platforms. Through a comprehensive series of standard and optional encoding modules, Digital Rapids' acclaimed family of encoding and transcoding solutions support both the recent H.264 video and AAC audio capabilities in Adobe Flash® Player, as well as established Adobe Flash Player video formats such as the On2 VP6 codec.
Our On2 VP6 encoding options are available in File (encoding to FLV or SWF files from live, tape-based or media file inputs) or File+Live (adds Live Flash Video streaming with Flash Media Server or equivalent, with simultaneous multi-format archive) models. The Digital Rapids AVC Encoder (included with some models; optional for others) supports encoding to Flash-compatible H.264/AAC media files using the Nero Digital codec. Live H.264 streaming for Adobe Flash Player will be available in the near future (live H.264 streaming as elementary streams over RTSP or in MPEG-2 transport streams is currently available for our solutions, but is not compatible with Adobe Flash Player).
The hardware cards in our DRC-Stream 500 and DRC-Stream bundles are also fully compatible with Adobe's own Flash Media Encoder software, offering the quality benefits of our hardware-based pre-processing to FME users.
