Software Upgrades

Version 2.5 of the Digital Rapids Stream software features numerous enhancements over version 2.4, including expanded compression and file format support, enhanced video processing plug-ins, and extended DVD publishing features. Highlights of the new features in version 2.5 of StreamPro and StreamEnterprise (not available in Stream LE) include:

• Enhancements to video processing plug-ins including de-interlacing and color space conversion
• Import and export of QuickTime-based media for Omneon servers
• Support for QuickTime-based H.264, AAC and AMR formats
• Direct DVD publishing to Rimage Producer III and Rimage Professional multi-disc production systems

Version 2.5 (including Stream LE, StreamPro and StreamEnterprise unless otherwise noted) also adds support for the following new optional formats (each optional module sold separately):

• Enhanced MXF support (import only, or import/export) powered by OpenCube technology*
• 3GPP encoding and streaming (including H.263, H.264 and MPEG-4 Part 2 video with AAC-LC and AMR audio)
• GXF (Grass Valley server) import
• Thomson stereo and multi-channel surround MP3 encoding

Registered Stream 2.0 (or higher) customers can download the Stream 2.5 update free here.

Users of StreamPro or StreamEnterprise version 1.5 can step up to version 2.5 by purchasing the appropriate software upgrade, delivering the new enhancements in version 2.5 plus all of the significant capabilities added in StreamPro and StreamEnterprise since version 2.0.

Stream LE 1.5 users are eligible for a free update to Stream LE 2.5. Users of any version of Stream LE can also purchase upgrades to StreamPro 2.5 or StreamEnterprise 2.5. StreamPro adds the above-mentioned features plus workflow automation features including deck control, video processing plug-ins, batch encoding, watch folder support, automated FTP distribution, direct DVD publishing and more. StreamEnterprise includes all of the features of StreamPro, plus remote control and advanced publishing capabilities. Please see the Stream Software Comparison Chart for more details.
