Digital Rapids Studio AVC EncoderThe Digital Rapids Studio AVC Encoder is an optional module optimized for delivering MPEG-4 AVC/H.264-encoded media meeting the stringent requirements of VOD and IPTV platforms. The Digital Rapids Studio AVC Encoder is available for Digital Rapids' StreamZ and StreamZHD media encoding systems and the Digital Rapids Transcode Manager distributed transcoding software.
Digital Rapids Studio AVC Encoder features ATEME H.264 video encoding technology, delivering top encoding quality with support for Baseline, Main and High profiles. Closed Caption data can be embedded in the H.264 elementary stream, with support for EIA-608, EIA-708 and SCC. Combining Digital Rapids flexible new multiplexing software architecture with technology from Manzanita Systems, Digital Rapids Studio AVC Encoder can multiplex the resulting H.264 video stream with elementary audio streams (including AAC and MPEG Layer 2 audio) into MPEG-2 transport stream files. Transport streams created with the Digital Rapids Studio AVC Encoder can also support "trick play" modes for random access viewing features during set-top box playback.
