StreamP is a self-contained peripheral which attaches directly to the CardBus or ExpressCard port on your laptop and uses the processing power, storage, and network connectivity of your laptop to give you the same capture and encoding capabilities as a high end workstation solution. Powered by our DRC-Stream hardware, StreamP encoders feature our renowned hardware-based video and audio preprocessing technology on all of the DRC-Stream card's inputs, enabling superior quality and the most efficient use of bandwidth in the compressed result. Video preprocessing includes motion adaptive de-interlacing, letting you output progressive scan video at any size without having to worry about interlace artifacts. 2D and 3D noise reduction features automatically reduce or even remove the noise in your video caused by low light conditions, analog sources, dropouts and many other types of noise. 7-band parametric EQ and dynamic range compression/expansion ensure great-sounding audio. The preprocessing also reduces the amount of work that the compression engine needs to do, letting you process more video and audio streams simultaneously.

Multiple formats, one workflow, one click

StreamP systems can encode to multiple formats, resolutions and bit rates simultaneously, giving you exceptional productivity while targeting multiple distribution channels with individually optimized media streams. The only limitation to the number of simultaneous real-time encodes is your laptop’s processing power. Whether you’re webcasting live events to the Internet; capturing media for archive or production; or encoding on demand content for the web or DVD, Stream can encode to the formats you need, all from a single, intuitive interface.

The included Stream LE software leads you through the process of creating multiple encoded formats in just a few steps. Simply choose your video and audio inputs (you can encode from a live source or deck, or transcode from existing digital media files); select the formats you wish to encode to (Windows Media 9, SMPTE VC-1, MPEG, QuickTime, Real and more); adjust video and audio processing parameters as desired including applying graphic overlay; and choose your output destination (media files or live web streams). Every time you want to use the system, simply load your project file and hit the start button – StreamP will encode and deliver your content with as little as one mouse click.

StreamP also includes the Stream LE Deck Control Module for frame-accurate RS422 device control with standalone logging, letting you do more in the field and saving you time in the studio. Studio workstation power and quality, in a portable package – that’s StreamP.
