 Digital Rapids is proud to be an Encoding and Transcoding Partner member of the Adobe Flash Media Solution Provider program. Through the Adobe® Flash® Player browser plug-in and Adobe AIR based applications, Adobe Flash technology delivers rich media experiences across multiple platforms. Through a comprehensive series of standard and optional encoding modules, Digital Rapids' acclaimed family of encoding, transcoding and streaming solutions support the AVC (H.264) video and AAC audio capabilities in Adobe Flash technologies, as well as earlier Adobe Flash Player video formats such as the On2 VP6 codec.
Encoding to Adobe Flash-compatible media files and live H.264 streaming via Flash Media Server to Adobe Flash Player and Adobe AIR applications are available with our DRC AVC for Web options. These options, as well as our On2 VP6 encoding options, are available in File (encoding to F4V or FLV files from live, tape-based or media file inputs) or File+Live (adds live streaming with Flash Media Server) models.
Leveraging our acclaimed ability to output multiple formats, resolutions and bit rates simultaneously, live and on-demand Flash content created by our systems is also compatible with the Dynamic Streaming capabilities of Flash Media Server 3.5 and Adobe's HTTP Dynamic Streaming technology. When delivering content from the server to a viewer, Dynamic Streaming automatically switches between versions of the same content at different bit rates to ensure a consistent, high-quality viewing experience even under fluctuating viewer bandwidth availability.
The hardware cards in our DRC-Stream bundles are also compatible with Adobe's own Flash Media Live Encoder software, offering the quality benefits of our hardware-based pre-processing to FMLE users.
