April 7, 2003 Digital Rapids Introduces StreamZ 2500Rxs™ a Professional High End Video Capture, Transcoding, and Streaming Server
NAB2003, Las Vegas, Nevada: Adding to the already robust StreamZ™ product line, Digital Rapids introduces the StreamZ 2500Rxs™. StreamZ 2500Rxs brings enterprise level quality and scalability to the StreamZ family of encoding servers. The StreamZ 2500Rxs is a dual Xeon (up to 3.06Ghz) based rack mount platform with built in RAID (0,1,5), redundant power supply standard, dual channel gigabit networking, and up to 1TB (Terabyte) of integrated storage in a standard 2RU chassis.
All StreamZ platforms support the following codec formats as both inputs and outputs:
- Lossless Compression
- Uncompressed
- MPEG 1, 2, 4
- Windows Media 9 (including embedded timecode, and 2 pass)
- Sorenson (Pro, Broadcaster, ACE)
- Real Helix (1 and 2 pass)
- Quicktime (file and Quicktime reference)
- DivX (1 and 2 pass)
StreamZ 2500Rxs includes all industry standard audio and video inputs (SDI, Component, Composite, Y/C, AES, Balanced, unbalanced, and DV) as standard features, as well as having two live video capture engines which can run concurrently, allowing two separate jobs to be processed at the same time. All StreamZ XS platforms include integrated frame accurate deck control and our Stream Remote application which allows live video monitoring and configuration over any network.
