Ingest and Encoding
Version 2.5 of the StreamPro and StreamEnterprise software makes its debut at the NAB Show. The latest version of the software for Digital Rapids' award-winning StreamZ, StreamZHD and DRC-Stream multi-format encoding solutions offers expanded compression and file format support, enhanced video processing plug-ins, and extended DVD publishing features. Streaming
The StreamZ Live family of live streaming encoders gains a new member with the introduction of a 3GPP/Mobile configuration. The new mobile-targeted model joins previously introduced VC-1, AVC/H.264, On2 VP6 (for Adobe Flash Player 8) and MPEG-2 configurations, providing a comprehensive selection of top-quality live streaming encoders supporting distribution channels from IPTV to webcasting and mobile video. The latest version of the Digital Rapids Broadcast Manager software also makes its NAB debut. Broadcast Manager provides enterprise-level management and control for multiple live streaming encoders, simplifying operation with centralized scheduling, monitoring and remote control while bolstering reliability with automated failover and alerts. New features include visual scheduling and a Web Services API for developers.
Capture and Playout
Version 2.0 of the CarbonHD Digital Disk Recorder brings a new user interface and enhanced functionality to the flexible DDR platform. CarbonHD supports both uncompressed video and hardware-based JPEG2000 compression, and features integrated HD/SD up, down and cross-conversion.
Transcoding
Version 1.2 of the Digital Rapids Transcode Manager distributed media transcoding software, announced in February, also makes its first NAB appearance. Transcode Manager provides centralized management, failover and intelligent load balancing for high-volume transcoding workflows. New features include expanded format support, new video processing functions, and a Web Services interface for custom integration.
